My main goal as an editor is to uphold the creative direction, content execution, and overall vision for my team across a wide range of print and digital channels. When it comes to a piece of writing, I work to make it credible and compelling. I am meticulous about accuracy and look at each project from a holistic perspective before diving into the details.

There are many types of editing out there, and I’d like to think that over the past decade of working with copy and different style guides, I have gained a well-rounded skillset that I can put to work.

I have managed digital media and creative teams to ensure timelines are followed, deadlines are met, workflows are efficient, and clear communications are produced.

consulting fact check editor

This role is essentially copyeditor + technical editor + researcher wrapped into one. I work closely with a team of script editors and writers to ensure everything we are communicating - from science to history to particle physics - is 100% accurate. I work across four channels - SciShow, SciShow Space, SciShow Psych, and SciShow Kids - with a combined subscribership of more than 10 million people.

Since 2019, I’ve worked on more than 250 different scripts that went to production of varying topics, themes, and lengths.

I worked on manuscripts written by non-native English speakers - removing language as a barrier to research communication and publication.

I edited 33 scientific papers - many of which are now published by top science journals.
